Disc Golf is a popular outdoor activity in Chico and surrounding areas. As the name implies, it is similar to golf, but is played with frisbees and baskets instead of balls and clubs. Disc golfers throw their discs toward a metal basket, keeping score much in the same way as one does in golf, with a low score representing a better played game. Rumor has it from Sierra Nevada employees that Ken Grossman recently purchased land on highway 32 (rumors also saying it is a current gold course) to convert into a disc golf course for public use with no charge.
There are a few places in Chico to play a round of disc golf, as well as a few places to practice your throws.
