Forest Ranch is a small, unincorporated community in Butte County northeast of Chico along Highway 32. Located in the foothills, the elevation of Forest Ranch is high enough that the community receives a fair amount of snowfall each winter. Forest Ranch is part of the Chico Unified School District with Forest Ranch Elementary School which feeds into Chico High School and Marsh Junior High School.
