The Gun Strike was a student protest at CSU Chico. In 1976, student protesters occupied the Kendall Hall administration building upset about the arming of University Police after being led to believe they would not be. They remained in the building for about a week before vacating it. The University Police remain armed to this day, however Officer Mike Storm shot himself in the foot within weeks of the protest.
