2000 census, Hamilton City had a population of just under 2000 people. It is located just across the Sacramento River, which makes it a location for many tubers looking to take a float. The town itself is located about halfway between Chico and Orland, so if you have taken Highway 32 to get to Interstate 5 you have passed through Hamilton City.
